Our first priority is your safety, no compromise will be done on this aspect. The mountain is an environment which could be dangerous, in order to keep it a pleasure, we proceed every day to a strict guideline to minimise the risk participants are exposed to.
Firstly, qualified instructors of the State Diploma of Ski-Monitor of Alpine Skiing frame you. This qualification provides legal authorisation and skills required to frame groups on and outside of the ski slope. Weather and avalanche risk are analysed every day to make decisions on itineraries, degree of inclinations and exposure we are going to ski on.
We analysed :
- The estimation of avalanche risk bulletin specific to each mountain massif;
- The avalanche risk map;
- Weather forecast of the day;
- Meteo France issues these official documents every day.
We gathered information about snow analysed, done by ourselves or by mountain professional such as ski patrol. It permit to have an snapshot on the state of the different snow layers at a specific time and place.Before each session, your instructor proceeds to a safety briefing. This briefing explains how to behave during the session, explanation about the safety equipment (Avalanche Airbag, Transceiver, shovel and probe) Your instructors have radio with the Vanoise security canal covering the entire territory including areas where mobile phone don’t receive any coverage. It permits to alert emergency if someone get injured and need to be evacuate or if an avalanche occurs. Finally, we follow and up date our own practices by being member of ANENA (the national association for the study of snow and avalanches).
